The PE and Sport Premium provides ring fenced money to primary schools to improve the quality of the PE and sport activities they offer their pupils. The funding is currently worth £150 million per year and is provided jointly by the Department for Education, the Department of Health and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
The Prime Minister announced in February 2014 that the Government have committed to funding for the Primary PE and Sport Premium to 2020.
In line with the governments priorities for the funding; an improvement in the quality of physical education and physical literacy and an increase in participation levels in
competitive sport, Bournville Primary Provision has allocated the funding into specific area’s over the next few academic years. This is detailed in the attached document.
